Serendipity

Serendipity is a stroke of sonic good fortune forged from the El Rey Music scene in Arlington Heights. The band has come together fairly recently, but has talent that  far exceeds the sum of its experience. These girls are young, but take them lightly at your own peril. Many older musicians have been left in their wake as they rack up win after win at competitions around the NW suburbs.

With Serendipity, a seasoned sound carries stirring vocals that pierce the noise of the local band scene.

Josie Treffy is a living contradiction. From her diminutive frame she launches soaring vocals that have won many local singing competitions and caught the well-tuned ears of talent scouts including those affiliated with Simon Cowell's The X-Factor. Don't take my word for it....Listen to this!

Liz Petitt brings a brand of vocals that has maturity far beyond her tender years. She digs up the roots of a lyric and delivers it in a way that is both bold and euphonic. If you haven't heard her version of Susan Tedeschi's "Hurts So Bad", do yourself a favor and strap into a chair for four glorious minutes.

Anneliese Schulz is the guitarist you wish your band had. How she can make her Fender weep the way it does shows that she's really a musician with an artist's soul. Oh, and watch her do it all BEHIND HER HEAD!

Haley Blomquist carries the tune that carries the crowds. A rhythm isn't just something that sounds good, it's something that's delivered as a gift to the listener. Haley is Serendipity's keeper of this gift. She delivers the foundation that the band springs from. And when it's her turn in the spotlight, she can simply shred.

Daniella Ballarino delivers the punches like a veteran prizefighter. The drummer is the backbone of any band, of course, and Daniella stands the melody up and marches it with purpose and tenacity. When it's Serendipity you hear, it's Daniella you feel.
